Nourish & Detoxify

Abhyanga ~ (ah-bee-yun-guh) warm, therapeutic oil is applied over the entire body followed by a specific sequence of strokes according to the flow of energy in all parts of the body.  Endowed with detoxifying, nourishing, toning and calming effects, Abhyanga is much more than an oil massage.  This treatment encourages removal of toxins on a deep cellular level, stimulates lymphatic tissue and creates a feeling of contentment and balance as well as supports tissue growth for an overall healing experience.  It can be done with one therapist, or for the ultimate experience, with two therapists working in synchronicity. It is often the precursor of other Ayurvedic treatments.

Swedana ~ (svway-don-uh) intensive steam therapy that promotes sweating and detoxification.  As an ancient weight loss secret, helps the body to cleanse the blood, detoxifies the tissue and treats cellulitis while encouraging muscle relaxation. According to Ayurveda, sweating is one of the best ways to open the detox channels of the body, but it is important that the specialized energy centers on the top of the head and heart are kept cool. Cool, moist towels will continuously be placed on your head and heart to keep you comfortable. A perfect complement to Abhyanga.

Relax & Rejuvenate

Shirodhara ~ (sheer-oh-dar-uh) a continuous stream of warm, herbal oil pours on the forehead and crown.  Deeply balancing to the mind and nervous system. This treatment begins with a neck & scalp massage followed by a brushing of the hair to stimulate the hair follicles and promote deep relaxation. It also has the side benefits of making your hair luxuriously soft, is used to prevent hair loss and helps promotes new hair growth. Shirodhara produces a balancing effect on all body systems. This treatment traditionally follows Abhyanga, or can be added to a therapeutic massage.

Balance & Restore

Nasya ~ (naws-yuh) head, neck and shoulder massage and warm face compresses followed by herbalized nasal drops to lubricate and soothe the nasal passages. In Ayurveda, the nose is considered the doorway to the brain, and when we have accumulation of mucous or toxins (ama) it obstructs our ability to breathe properly. Nasya is used to purify, open and clear the nasal passages to allow more oxygen absorption to the brain.  Nasya is a powerful therapy used to treat sinus congestion, headaches, insomnia, chronic allergies, and deep emotional congestion.

Karna Poorna ~ (kar-nah pour-nah) an Ayurvedic ear therapy that creates a deep stillness. Warm oil is gently, slowly poured into the ears, lubricating the ear canal, calming the mind, and soothing the nervous system. When the ears are bathed in oil, the mind and body automatically calms, creating a state of deep relaxation. This therapy is highly recommended for those who use mobile phones continuously and people exposed to high levels of noise and air pollution. Also reduces itching, ringing in the ear and impact of wax, mucus and accumulated candid (yeast), enhances hearing, helps with Tinnitus, ringing in the ears, Vertigo, ear congestion, and softens tension in the face & jaw.

Enhancements

CBD Oil~ Cannabidiol (CBD) is a derivative of the cannabis plant. CBD is not psychoactive. This means that it does not change the state of mind of the person who uses it. The human body produces certain cannabinoids on its own. It has two receptors for cannabinoids, called CB1 receptors and CB2 receptors. The CB1 receptors in the brain deal with coordination and movement, pain, emotions and mood, thinking, appetite, and memories, among others. CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system. CBD does not act on either receptor directly, instead, it seems to influence the body to use more of its own cannabinoids. As a result, it can be used as a natural pain relief and as an anti-inflammatory. It helps fight cancer by blocking cancer cells from spreading around the body and invading an area entirely. Studies indicate that CBD tends to suppress the growth of cancer cells and promote the death of these cells. Anxiety disorders such as PTSD or general anxiety may also be reduced.

Perfect as an add-on to most treatments $15
